Rheology & flow behavior

How a dispersion flows is as decisive as whether it separates — and the two are connected. We characterize flow and structure across the conditions your product actually sees — at rest on a shelf, and while being pumped, sprayed, or spread. As with everything else, the interpretation is included: what the rheology says about stability, processing, and end use, not just the curves.

Flow curves & viscosity profiles

Viscosity across shear rates — how the product behaves at rest, in the bottle, in the pump, and on application.

Yield point evaluation

Whether the formulation has enough structure to hold particles and droplets in place — a yield stress that’s too low explains sedimentation faster than any shelf test.

Oscillatory testing

Amplitude and frequency sweeps — the viscoelastic fingerprint: gel or liquid, how robust the structure is, and how it responds over time and stress.

Particle size & Zeta potential

Particle size distribution (dynamic light scattering) and Zeta potential, delivered with interpretation — whether the size or charge you're seeing explains the behavior you're getting, and what it implies for stability.

Interfacial & foam characterization

Dynamic surface and interfacial tension, interfacial rheology, and foam formation and stability. The surface science that governs how emulsions and foams behave — rarely available as a contract service, and often the missing piece in a stubborn formulation problem.
